ansys

At PEA we use a software package called ANSYS, which may be used for Static Structural, Harmonic Response, Linear Buckling and Steady-State & Transient Thermal analysis. ANSYS may be used to examine properties such as stress, strains and deformations of single parts, as well as assemblies, with parts constrained together to simulate real world behaviour.

Autodesk Inventor

Autodesk Inventor is a 3D CAD modelling software package used to design, visualize, and test engineering concepts. Autodesk Inventor allows you to create virtual 3D prototypes that accurately simulate the weight, stress, friction, and loads of real world components in a simulated 3D environment. Everything from basic single parts to detailed mechanical engineering models can be created and tested using Inventor's integrated motion simulation and assembly stress analysis tools. Inventor is well known for its accurate 3D modelling features that help you create and visualize your products. Autodesk Inventor also includes integrated CAD simulation and design communication tools that not only enhances CAD productivity, but also helps identify and reduce errors, which can be integral in cutting development timelines in half.

Autodesk AutoCAD

Autodesk AutoCAD is the industry standard computer-aided drafting (CAD) software application that enables drafters and engineers to create simple two-dimensional (2D) and complex three-dimensional (3D) models of surfaces. Prior to computer-aided drafting, manual hand drafting tools such as drafting boards and pencils, inking pens, parallel rules, compasses, and triangles only offered a subset of what can now be done with programs such as AutoCAD. Since its original release in 1982, AutoCAD quickly became the most widely used CAD program in the world because of its robust set of automated drafting tools and features. AutoCAD allows you to visually design and explore your conceptual ideas, modify your designs, and easily generate the documentation required for manufacture.

Autodesk Navisworks

Autodesk Navisworks Manage, provides a complete set of tools for running construction projects. The software features: photorealistic visualisation of all types of models, precise replication of designs (accurate enough for measurement), comment and mark-up’s, live links for databases, file or streamed distribution of models, simulation of 4D construction schedules and powerful clash detection. The clash detection works with any specified geometry and can be used to search for potential conflicts while evaluating design options. There is also a built-in audit trail tool that keeps tabs on conflicts and resolutions, with full reporting capabilities.

Microstation

MicroStation is one of the world’s leading 2D and 3D CAD and information modelling software packages. It is used widely in architecture, engineering, construction, and the operation of utility systems, roads and rail, bridges, buildings, communications networks, water and wastewater networks, process plants, mining, and more.

MicroStation provides the power and flexibility to model, document, draft, and map projects of virtually any type and size. It also supports a portfolio of interoperable professional-grade, discipline-specific applications from Bentley and other software vendors.

Autocad""

AutoCAD Raster Design is the leading raster application for design professionals in the engineering industry who need to use or re-use scanned paper drawings, or any other documents or similar digital data, in the course of their design projects. Raster Design is the Autodesk solution for managing, converting, analysing and editing all types of raster images in AutoCAD software and applications on AutoCAD.
