EMS Rolls are a key component in achieving steel quality at the Slab Caster.
The EMS Rolls are reconditioned and reused a number of times before being scrapped. The documentation for the EMS Rolls was either poorly detailed or out of date. PEA’s scope was to pull all the existing information together and clarify the correct parts/components and to prepare an Inventor Model to accurately represent the current status.
This model was then exploded with all the parts/components correctly positioned and labelled.
With the documentation now in one file any changes to part specifications can be quickly and efficiently transferred to the shop floor via a revised assembly drawing.
