The Coupled Pickled Cold Mill (CPCM) consists of a 5 Stand Mill with a unique work roll chuck (bearing housing) arrangement in 8 separate positions. Stands 1-4 Drive Side Top and Bottom, Operator Side Top and Bottom, Stand 5 Drive Side Top and Bottom, Operator Side Top and Bottom
In order to assist in the maintenance of the CPCM work rolls and chucks, PEA’s scope was to pull all the existing information together and clarify the correct parts/components. With this data PEA prepared an Inventor Model to accurately represent the current status of the chucks in the 8 locations.
The 8 models were then exploded with all the parts/components correctly positioned and labelled.
