3D model of a building upgrade
using ProSteel and AutoCAD

PEA recently completed a complex project consisting of two separate buildings for the Concord Hospital upgrade. The large buildings generally were of brick veneer construction with the majority of the structure consisting of structural steel work. As the buildings were architecturally designed, there were many intricate details that required careful and thoughtful 3D modelling.

As the project was on such a tight deadline, the use of ProSteel and AutoCAD gave us the ability to produce “cutting lists” throughout the modelling process that allowed the fabricator to order and prepare items well in advance.

This resulted in the project to keep on track. The final components were accurately erected without any further site work required saving valuable time. ProSteel and our experienced operators proved without doubt the overall advantage and strength over traditional 2D drafting techniques.
